Dr. Michal Harasymczuk Specialist in orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. WHe received his education at the Medical University of Poznań (2007-2013). Specialization training (residency) in Orthopedics and Traumatology of the locomotor system (2014-2020).) took place at the Clinic where he currently works, i.e. in Department of Orthopedics, Traumatology and Hand Surgery at the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital named after Wiktor Dega in Poznań

Dr. M. Harasymczuk also works at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences as a lecturer at the Department and Clinic of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Hand Surgery of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences.

Member of the Polish Orthopedic and Traumatological Society (since 2015), the Polish Shoulder and Elbow Society (since 2016) and the European Shoulder and Elbow Society SECEC (since 2019). He took part in several courses and trainings in the field of Surgery of the Upper Limb in Poland and abroad. He completed internships in the USA - 10 months in Chicago, learning  microsurgery and conducting research on the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy under the supervision of Professor Maria Siemionow. He completed another 6-month internship at the best hospital of the year 2018/2019 in the USA - Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, working in the orthopedic department of the world-renowned orthopedist, Professor Shawn O'Driscoll, specializing in elbow surgery. Teacher of the English-language department of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in the field of orthopedics of the upper limb.

The hand surgeon deals with surgical and non-surgical treatment of the entire upper limb - from the shoulder area to the fingers. Both in adults and children. 

Particular interests include ruptures of the biceps muscle (biceps) and microsurgery of the upper limb - nerve damage, including peripheral nerve neuropathies, such as carpal tunnel syndrome ("carpal tunnel syndrome") or the ulnar nerve at various levels.
